VISAs
-
You cannot apply for a visa without airfare and hotel reservations. The recommended time to apply for a visa is January 2025. You can apply for your visa with the button above.
-
Select the TOURIST Visa. Do not be confused by the conference/convention option - that is intended for business travelers. We also recommend that you select the single-entry option.
-
Using your cell phone, take a photo of yourself against a white wall. If you wear glasses, remove them for the photo. The eVisa process will require you to submit a "passport-like" photo, which is NOT the photo from your passport.
Prep to Travel
In preparation to travel to Kenya, all travelers need to have:
-
the app "WhatsApp" downloaded to your phone.
-
WhatsApp is our primary form of communication with travelers while out of the country. We also share updates to help you prepare in our WhatsApp group. Click here to join the Missions WhatsApp group.
-
-
a valid passport (check your expiration date)
-
travel-size insect repellant (recommended)
-
medications for Traveler's Diarrhea (recommended as a precaution, but consult your healthcare provider)
-
upload vaccination info into the UN's vaccination validation portal - Global Haven (click here)
-
It is required that your vaccination records be entered into Global Haven before boarding your flight to Kenya. Paper records will not be viewed at the airport.
-
Please contact your doctor and/or local public health department to determine your vaccination needs.
-
Tip: Check with your Public Health Department for free/affordable vaccinations. Some CVS locations have a Travel Health Clinic, which may be an affordable option.
-
-
To date, there are no required vaccines; however, this could change. So please monitor the CDC site for updates & speak with your healthcare provider, if/when requirements change.

-
-
Although not required, we strongly recommend bringing your COVID vaccine card & Yellow Fever/Certification of Vaccination Card - sometimes referred to as a Yellow Book (if you have one).
